A break in an undersea cable on Wednesday led to the closure of the airport of Benghazi - the second largest city in Libya, also bringing down telephone and internet lines in eastern parts of the country, The Voice of Russia reported.
This information was offered by local authorities. Technicians are working to repair it.
The cable connecting Benghazi to the towns of Mesaad and Brega was broken when it accidentally got tangled in a fishing vessel's equipment.
