Syria has filed an official complaint to the United Nations over an Israeli Air Force airstrike on a research center in Damascus, Syria's ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad told RIA Novosti on Friday.
On January 30, the Syrian army command said that Israeli aircraft attacked a military research center in the province of Damascus.
"Syria has filed an official complaint against Israel to the United Nations, and we wait for a response from the international organization," the interviewee said.
Haddad stated that the Israeli military strike was "an act of brutal aggression against a UN member state" and "a crime clearly violating international law, the UN Charter ...".
"This is not Israel's first violation, and everyone is familiar with its persistent violations of international law and order as well as its opposition to all resolutions of the international community" Haddad said.
