Russia's Missile Warning System (MWS) fixed the launch of two ballistic missiles in the Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday morning, the Russian Defence Ministry said, RIA Novosti reported.
"The launch was detected by a combat crew of the MWS separate radio node in Armavir," a representative of Defence Ministry's Press-service and Information Department told journalists.
Following this report, the representative of the Defence Ministry said that Russian Defence Minister, army General Sergei Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin about this situation
Syria's embassy in Moscow and the Russian embassy in Damascus do not have a data about the fixed launch of ballistic missiles in Mediterranean Sea.
"We learned about this from you," the representative of the Russian embassy told RIA Novosti.
