The Foreign Ministry of the United Arab Emirates condemned the terrorist attack in the capital of Egypt, which targeted the country's Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim, RIA Novosti reported.
"UAE supports Egypt in its fight against all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist crime that targeted the motorcade of the Egyptian Interior Minister," the document said.
Two bombs exploded on Thursday, after Mohammed Ibrahim left his home accompanied by security guards motorcade in the Madinat Nasr district of the Egypt's capital of Cairo.
A shooting took place between the police and unidentified persons after the blast. Two of the assailants were killed. At least, eight people were injured, including six policemen from the minister's security guards.
