The Syrian conflict was the main topic of a meeting at the G20 between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday, RIA Novosti reported.
"The Ministers exchanged their views on current international issues with an emphasis on the situation in Syria," a ministry statement published in its official website, said.
Deterioration of the situation in Syria took place on August 21 when some Media outlets reported a large-scale deployment of chemical weapons near Damascus by Syrian Government Troops. Syrian authorities have denied the charges. After that, the West began to talk openly about a possible intervention in the Syrian conflict.
