Internet access has been shut down in Sudan, sources told Al Arabiya on Wednesday.
The reports come amid two deaths in the Khartoum area after riots were sparked by the lifting of government fuel subsidies, according to Agence France-Presse.
Sudanese demonstrators, angry over the oil price hikes, set fire to the ruling party's headquarters in the capital's twin city of Omdurman Tuesday as protests spread across the country, witnesses told AFP.
Earlier on Wednesday, an Al Arabiya correspondent reported that schools in Khartoum will be closed until Sept. 30 due to the protests.
