Ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi is to go on trial for escaping from prison during the 2011 uprising against his predecessor, Hosny Mubarak, prosecution officials said on Saturday.
Morsi has been indicted along with more than 30 other defendants, including members of his Muslim Brotherhood group and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, dpa reported.
The deposed Islamist president faces two other trials.
In one of them, he is charged with sponsoring terrorism and harming national security by conspiring with foreign organizations.
A separate trial, in which he is accused of inciting protesters' deaths, will resume on January 8.
