The Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) has opened a health center for mother and childcare in Kenya's Ijara district on Friday Anadolu Agence reported.
Turkey's Ambassador to Nairobi, Huseyin Avni Aksoy said the project was significant for the local communities. The health center aims to help nearly 150,000 people living in the region.
The agency, established in 1992, undertakes projects in fields such as education, health and agricultural development in 30 countries and across five continents.
On Friday, the agency also opened a coordination office in Nairobi, Kenya's capital.
