Netanyahu casts early ballot in Jerusalem

Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu voted early in Israel's parliamentary election Tuesday, visiting a Jerusalem polling station shortly after it opened, dpa reported.

The premier said that although it was not a rainy day, he hoped it would "rain ballots" for his Likud-Beteinu party, which is expected to win the largest amount of seats.

Leaders of competing parties also made early trips to their polling stations.
