Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has accepted an invitation to attend the Non-Aligned Movement summit that is scheduled to be held in Tehran in late August, Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki announced on Sunday, Mehr reported.
According to AP, Abbas accepted the invitation in a meeting with the Iranian deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in the Jordanian capital Amman on Sunday, during which Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's letter inviting Abbas to the conference was submitted to the Palestinian official.
