Turkish foreign minister met Iran's national security chief

Turkish foreign minister met Iranian national security chief on Sunday, Anadolu news agency reported.
Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had a meeting with Saeed Jalili, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council and chief nuclear negotiator, on the second day of his formal visit to the Iranian capital of Tehran.
The Iranian state TV said that Davutoglu and Jalili discussed further improvement of bilateral relations.
Davutoglu told Jalili that Turkey could host possible negotiations between Iran and the West regarding nuclear energy controversy.
The Turkish foreign minister held a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Motaki on Saturday in which he said Turkey was ready to do what it had to do to avoid a new sanction on Iran and to lift current sanctions.
Davutoglu had said, "Turkey will do its best for solving all problems, particularly nuclear program controversy, through peaceful means and dialogue, because this is not only an issue concerning Iran and the West or other countries but also an issue concerning Turkey's interests."
After completing his talks in Tehran, Davutoglu proceeded to Mashhad.
During his visit to Tehran, Davutoglu met Foreign Minister Motaki, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejadi, and exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional issues.
