Turkish PM's position against Zionists makes nations happy: Iranian president

The Iranian President said the Turkish Prime Minister's position against Zionists made the world people happy.

The Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in his meeting with the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Tehran that the two neighbor countries should develop bilateral economic-political cooperation, although enemies do not want it. "Foreign forces' presence in the region causes pressure on us, they try to increase their interference in interior affairs of the regional countries," Ahmadinejad said on Oct. 27, the official website of the Iranian president reported.

With a 100-member delegation, including economists, the Turkish Prime Minister visited Tehran on Oct. 27. Before the visit, Erdogan said in his interview with Guardian newspaper that Turkey and Iran have friendly relations.

The trade turnover between the two countries amounts to $13 billion and it is planned to increase this figure to $20 billion. Iran imports almost 10 billion cubic metres of gas to Turkey per year.
