Costa Rica's President Oscar Arias will visit Turkey upon an invitation by Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Anadolu Agency reported.

Presidency press center stated on Monday that the visit of Arias was a first on presidential level from Costa Rica and Central America to Turkey.

Arias will be decorated with an honorary doctorate in Bahcesehir University in Istanbul on Tuesday. He will also meet with representatives of business world in a meeting to be organized by Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).

Following his contacts in Istanbul, Arias will proceed to capital Ankara, and meet with Gul on Wednesday.

Arias will meet with Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin and give a conference on Latin America at Ankara University the same day.

He will depart from Turkey on Thursday.
