A Turkish passenger plane en route from Istanbul to the eastern city of Van has made an emergency landing in Ankara following a hoax bomb alert, Press TV reported.
Pegasus Airlines Flight 190 had to make the unscheduled stop at Ankara's Esenboga Airport. The 150 passengers and crew members were then offloaded onto the tarmac. They were re-screened and allowed to re-board after dogs and a bomb unit searched the plane.
The plane made it to Van's Ferit Melen Airport late on Sunday, delayed by several hours.
It was the second time this week that a bomb hoax interrupted the schedule of a domestic flight in Turkey.
On Friday, a hoax bomb alert forced a Turkish airliner to make an emergency landing as it was traveling from Adana in south-central Turkey to Izmir on the Aegean coast.
