An armed attack was committed on the U.S. Consulate in the Turkish city of Adana Feb. 3, the Iha news agency reported.
The criminals fired at the building from a car, tried to escape, but were detained by employees of the Adana Combating Terrorism Department. Six suspects were arrested. All have been identified as members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization.
In January, Turkish police arrested 120 individuals suspected of cooperation with Al-Qaeda, including a recruiter who worked at a university.
