Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has rejected accusations of the Turkish government's involvement in the resignation of Turkish Opposition Leader Deniz Baykal, Anadolu reported.
Leader of the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Deniz Baykal resigned after the spread of the video about the sex scandal in the e-net, in which he was involved.
In his speech, Erdogan said the government did not respond to the incident, after scandalous videos surfaced. He called the government's intervention in such matters wrong.
CHP Member Kamal Kilic Daroglu said that the party has similar video recordings compromising high-ranking officials of the ruling Justice and Development Party, the CNN Turk website reported with reference to the Hurriyet newspaper.
