Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday welcomed opening of a case in Denmark against media organs supporting terrorist PKK organization, Anadolu Agency reported.
Foreign Ministry statement referred to a decision made by Copenhagen City Prosecutor's Office to open a case against Roj-TV and Mesopotamia Broadcast A/S METV company on charges that they promoted and supported the activities of the terrorist organization PKK.
Foreign Ministry statement said Turkey welcomed the right decision of Danish Government, which is in line with its international obligations regarding fight against terrorism.
"At the end of the legal process, Turkey is expecting those broadcasting organs, which provoked terrorism and use of violence, to be imposed to the sentence they deserved," the statement said.
