Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, at a meeting of the Libya contact group held in Turkey' s Istanbul on Thursday, voiced full support for the Libyan rebel National Transitional Council (NTC).
The developments in Libya is a historical turning point not only for the North African country, but also for the entire region, Davutoglu said in his opening speech, Xinhua reported.
Thursday's meeting, gathering senior officials from 29 countries and seven international organizations, will discuss financial support for NTC and the Libyan people, the protection of civilians, and NTC's efforts to achieve an inclusive and broad- based democratic transition, and urgent needs for essential services and humanitarian relief.
