Turkish Parliament approved the extension of the prime ministry motion to conduct military operations against terrorist organization PKK in the north of Iraq for one more year, Anadolu reported.
The motion was approved by votes of deputies of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).
"Terrorist attacks and open threats from terrorist PKK groups sheltering in the north of Iraq still continue against the Turkish nation's peace and security, and against Turkey's national unity and territorial integrity," the motion said.
Turkey which attached a great importance to territorial integrity, national unity and stability of Iraq exerted efforts for end of terrorist attacks targeting the country and eradication of PKK terrorists from the north of Iraq, it said.
