Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Saturday that Turkey will complete the EU's requirements to allow its citizens to travel visa-free in Europe within three years, Anadolu Agency reported.

Addressing citizens at the AK Party's election campaign in Tekirdag, northwestern Turkey, Davutoglu added that Sunday's local elections are crucial for Turkey's fate.

"Turkey had a fragile economy 12 years ago. The Turkish Lira had no value. We will not let those who want to topple Turkey's growth to do what they want. They want to go back to 90s Turkey, to the chaos years," he said.

Davutoglu also stressed the issue that Turkey's economy and per capita income had grown four times in 12 years.
