Five of the 11 police officers questioned in relation to wiretapping case of Turkish Prime Minister's office were referred to the court and six were released on Friday, Anadolu Agency reported.
The suspects Ali Ozdogan, Sedat Zavar, Ahmet Turer, Enes Cigci and Ilker Usta were referred to court by Prosecutor Durak Cetin. Erdogan's former chief bodyguard Mehmet Yuksel together with Zeki Bulut, Ibrahim Sari, Hursit Golbası, Harun Yavuz and Seyit Saydam were released.
Eleven police officers were taken into custody on Tuesday and questioned in relation to the wiretapping of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's office.
A search of the homes and offices of eleven suspects in the cities of Ankara, Istanbul, Diyarbakir, Yozgat and Karabuk was conducted.
Wiretapping scandals have occasionally made headlines in Turkey since Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced in late 2012 that a "bug" had been found in his office.
The bugging devices, the serial numbers of which have already been erased, were sent to the prosecutor in May and were taken in by the court's evidence unit.
