The Israeli army lost some 131 servicemen during the hostilities in Gaza, Turkish Anadolu agency reported citing the military wing of Hamas movement. However, the Israeli authorities have not confirmed this information.

On August 1, Israel agreed to a three-day humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip, previously announced by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

During his visit to India, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced that the parties agreed to a ceasefire from August 1.

Previously, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza confirmed consent of all factions of the Palestinian resistance for a 72-hour truce with Israel.

But the truce didn't last more than two hours and Israel resumed its military operation in the Gaza Strip.
