New banknotes with the nominal value of 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 drams will be put into circulation in Armenia from June 25, the Armenia Today reports.
Banknotes of 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 drams of 2012 issue are legal payment means in the territory of Armenia and are subject to acceptance by their nominal value. Five thousand banknotes of 1999, 2003 and 2009 issues, ten thousand banknotes of 2003, 2006 and 2008 issues, as well as twenty thousand banknotes of 1999, 2007 and 2009 issues remain in circulation without any restrictions, the Central Bank of Armenia said.
