Students at the public and private higher educational institutions of Gyumri are organising protest rallies today against what they see as rigged presidential elections, Armenia Today reports, referring to Gala TV.
The rally will start near the State Pedagogical Institute, after which the students will march to the branch of the State University of Economics.
Alongside, students from other educational institutions of Gyumri will head towards the Russian consulate to hold a protest rally under the slogan 'Shame on Russia for recognising presidential elections in Armenia, disgrace to the Russian authorities for offering congratulations to Serzh Sargsyan'.
Students will then hand a letter of protest to the Russian Consul which will be followed by the march to the Italian consulate in Gyumri.
Then, students will take action near the Drama Theatre of Gyumri. Participants will cover their faces with posters with an image of 5,000 dram and hold 'not for sale' banners.
