The Russian government's legislative commission has approved a bill on ratification of an agreement between Russia and Armenia on development of military-technical cooperation, signed in Yerevan on June 25, 2013, ITAR-TASS reported with reference to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

It is also planned that the document will be considered at a meeting of the Russian government, and then submitted to the parliament for ratification.

The agreement provides for the establishment of favorable interaction between the parties in the development, production, operation, maintenance, modernization, extension of use and disposal of weapons and military equipment.

"Under the agreement, moving military goods from the territory of one party to the other's will be performed on extracts from the lists being issued by the authorized bodies of the parties, without taking appropriate decisions on the supply of military products and licensing," the bill reads. The contracts are expected to be signed between organizations - the subject of military-technical cooperation, and between organizations that do not have the right to conduct foreign trade in military products.

The government reminded that state regulation in the sphere of military-technical cooperation is carried out on the basis of licensing the import and export of military products.
