The EU Advisory Group may cease its activity in Armenia. The group's mandate will be completed in spring and will not be extended, Mediamax reported on Feb. 5.
A representative of the Advisory Group confirmed the report about the imminent completion of the mandate.
This representative stressed that the final decision on extension or completion of the mandate will be made in late February.
The group together with Armenian ministries and departments in the following areas such as anti-corruption strategy, effective management covering administrative reforms, human rights and debt management.
In particular, the group has greatly contributed during the negotiations towards reaching an agreement on the establishment of a deep and comprehensive free trade zone with the EU.
