The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has approved a38-month programme of extended funding worth $127.6 million with the purpose of contributing towards the Armenian authorities’ economic programme, Armenia Today reported on March 11.

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has approved a 38-month programme of extended funding worth $127.6 million with the purpose of contributing towards the Armenian authorities' economic programme, Armenia Today reported on March 11.

Adoption of the programme envisages an opportunity to provide $18.2 million with the remaining amount being provided during the implementation of the programme on the basis of the research data over six months.

The objective of the programme is to facilitate the recovery of economic activity and progress in the issue of poverty reduction and stabilisation of inflation.
