Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev and Russian DM Anatoly Serdyukov at the meeting on Monday approved the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2010, RIA Novosti reports according to the spokesman of the press service of Russian Defense Ministry.
According to him, the sides discussed several issues of military and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan.
During the meeting was discussed the training of Azerbaijani military personnel at military educational institutions of Defense Ministry of Russia.
"The development of relations between the two countries in the military sphere is based on the mutually beneficial cooperation, which is positive and is carried out in a planned way," - the representative of the Ministry of Defense quoted Serdyukov.
After the meeting, Serdyukov and Abiyev will fly to St. Petersburg, where they will visit the headquarters of the Leningrad Military District.
