Azerbaijani AtaHolding is planning an increase of investments into projects in the agricultural field and tourism, the chief of the holding administration Farid Asadov told Trend on Tuesday.
He said holdings' type investments are on the increase. We are issuing some towards the extension of a poultry factory in Shamkir to raise its production capacity.

The poultry factory is specialising on production of birds, meat and eggs. The company was reconstructed and extended in 2005. A retail outlet with a capacity of 10 tons per hour, a down-hole carving workshop which has modern equipment and the building of a new incubator have been constructed apart from the broiler shops and those on egg production.

In addition, according to Asadov, the company is determined to strengthen the position of holding's new company- AtaTravel in the tourism market.

"One of the projects is construction of a mall next to the Excelsior Baku hotel. We are currently considering this project," Asadov noted.

He said the holding will continue to increase the investments of the bank and insurance company, AtaBank and AtaSigorta.

AtaHolding, established in 2003, is investing capital in various parts of the economy, managing financial and intellectual resources and corporate administration.

Ataholding's authorised capital amounts to 83.9 million manat and is mostly directed towards the development of finance, information technology, industry, services and tourism.
