Share distribution of mobile device manufacturers in Azerbaijan announced

In January-September 2013 the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia's market share in Azerbaijan decreased by over 21.8 per cent, the statistical center Global Stats said on Friday.

According to the Global Stats the decrease amounted to about 36 per cent compared to the same period of last year. Despite this, at present phones of this company are leading in sales, taking 36.79 per cent of the mobile market in Azerbaijan.

In September Nokia's market share has increased by about 4.4 per cent compared to August.

According to the Global Stats, a 2.5 per cent decrease was recorded in Samsung's market share in September. However, the Korean manufacturer ranks the second in terms of popularity among mobile devices in Azerbaijan and owns 29.95 per cent of the market.

In September Samsung's market share in Azerbaijan rose by 35.52 per cent as compared with January. The growth amounted to 82 per cent in September as compared to the same month of the last year.

Apple's share in mobile devices market decreased in September by 5.57 per cent as compared to August. The company ranks third in terms of sales.

Over the past nine months, Apple's share grew by 24 per cent.

Apple owns 12.72 per cent of the mobile phone market of Azerbaijan, which is 22 per cent more than the same period of the last year.

The fourth place is occupied by the mobile devices of unknown manufacturers (mainly Chinese) which have 12.42 per cent market share.

These manufacturers' mobile devices are followed by the devices of Blackberry - 2,2 per cent, Sony - 2,11 per cent , HTC - 1,95 per cent , LG - 0,71 per cent , Huawei - 0,69 per cent and Google - 0,25 per cent.
