Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 14

Trend - Huseyn Valiyev:

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has presented a package of proposals on the usage of new tariffs on universal postal services and services of digital TV to the Tariff Union, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told Trend on Feb. 14.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies noted that they are considering the regulation of tariffs in accordance with the cost of rendered services and international norms.

Currently, this issue is being considered by the Tariff Union.

The ministry has also recommended Internet service providers to reduce the cost of rendered services.

Earlier, the suggestions of the ministry to reduce the cost of network infrastructures of state operators by 20 percent did not spark the interest of Internet service suppliers.
Internet providers want a 50 percent reduction of rent cost, but it has not been approved by the Ministry.
