The market share of stationary desktop computers decreased by 1.85 percent in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2014, the Global Stats statistical centre reported.
The market share of desktop computers in Azerbaijan is 69.19 percent, according to the report.
This market has dropped 20.21 percent in the country, compared with the same period last year.
A growth of 3.13 per cent was recorded in the market share for portable computers such as notebooks and netbooks in Azerbaijan according to the results of the first quarter. The market share of laptops in Azerbaijan makes up 26.29 percent. This segment grew by 135.36 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Tablet computers occupy third place in the ranking with a share of 4.52 percent. The growth of this segment of the market amounted to 12.43 percent in January-March 2014. Furthermore, in comparison with the same period of 2013, the tablet device segment grew by 114.21 percent.
