The volume of TeliaSonera company's sale in the Azerbaijani market has decreased by 7.3 percent compared to the same period last year in Q1 of 2014.
Net proceeds of the TeliaSonera has decreased by 65 million SEK that is from 887 million SEK to 822 million SEK.
Net sales in local currencies, excluding acquisitions, have decreased by 8.3 percent. Low income of the company over the reported period is related to the decreasing tariffs for telecommunication services, as well as increased competition in the market following the February launch of mobile numbers portability service.
The volume of the company's profit before payment of interests, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA margin) in Azerbaijan increased from 51 percent to 52.8 percent, due to the increase in gross profit and a decrease in marketing expenses.
"Fintur Holdings B. V" company in which "TeliaSonera" owns 74 percent, has a share in the Azercell company which is a mobile operator in Azerbaijan.
