By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:

The billing systems of Azerbaijani state communication operators will be transferred to a new version of TELNET remote access by the end of the first half of the year, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies told Trend on April 30.

The system is being introduced in Aztelekom and Baku Telephone Communication production associations, the ministry said.

TELNET's new version supports the SSH protocol (Secure Shell). SSH network protocol envisages remote control of the operating system, as well as encrypts the entire information exchange, including passwords.

The protocol allows to safely share information in an unprotected sphere through any other network protocol. The users will be able not only to work remotely on a computer through a command shell, but send the audio and video information via an encrypted channel.

Currently, this decision is used to ensure the stability of the central servers to virus attacks of the Information Technology Center under the Ministry.
