Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili congratulates Georgian Muslims with the holiday of Kurban. Saakashvili has visited Marneuli mostly populated with Azerbaijanis today. He took part in the festivities organized in the local mosque.
"As Georgian president I love you because you are part of my people. Kurban is a holiday of all Georgian people. It is a general holiday," he said.
The Georgian President stressed that the holiday demonstrates support for neighbors.
"We must all help each other and thereby advance our country - Georgia forward. It is our common country, which requires concerns of all its citizens, despite the ethnic origin", he said.
Saakashvili gave some orders to local authorities to improve the social situation of local Azerbaijanis. It is primarily concerned with the construction of head building for water supply. The President talked with people and addressed to the faithful Muslims.
