The Panamanian government has decided to introduce visa free regime for Georgia citizens.

The decision of the authorities of Panama was announced during a meeting of the two countries' delegations in Brazil, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Sergi Kapanadze, who is in Rio de Janeiro, told reporters.

"Official meeting of the delegations of Georgia and Panama was held in the frame of the UN conference on sustainable development Rio +20 in Rio de Janeiro, in which it was stated that the Republic has decided that the citizens of Georgia will be able to go to Panama without a visa," Kapanadze said.

Georgia and Panama established diplomatic relations on November 18, 1998 Political and economic relations between the two countries are developing quite actively; the companies registered in Panama are actively investing in the Georgian economy.
