Georgia creates State Company for Export of fruits and vegetables, which should help farmers to export their products. Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili informed farmers in Tskhaltubo (region of Imereti, West Georgia) about this organization.
"The purpose of the company is assistance to farmers in selling their products. The company will help manufacturers in the transportation of goods and exports, with simplified customs procedures. In this regard centers for collection of fruits and vegetables, equipped with modern technologies of sorting, packing and storage are created all over in Georgia," the premier said.
Merabishvili noted that currently the terminal for storage, through which the export of Georgian fruits and vegetables will be exported to Ukraine and other markets in Eastern Europe, is being constructed.
