An operation to rescue four Russian amateur climbers on the Tetnuldi summit in Svaneti (Western Georgia) was completed successfully.
A helicopter with rescuers managed to land close to the climbers, Emergency Situations Department of Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend on Tuesday.
Climbers have already been delivered to Mestia. One of them - Vladimir Smirnov was hospitalized. Due to the fact that he hurt his leg, a group of climbers failed to move on.
Climbers contacted their relatives in Russia via mobile phone, and the relatives in turn reported the incident to Georgian rescue services.
Climbers were hit by a rockfall and could not further move.
Soon, they will be able to return home.
