Georgia, Nepal discuss deepening of bilateral relations

Georgian Ambassador to Nepal (with residence in New Delhi), Zurab Kachkachishvili presented his credentials to President of Nepal Ram Baran Yadav, Georgian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Powers of the Georgian Embassy in India extend to Nepal, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

"After the ceremony a brief one-on-one meeting was held between Nepalese President and Georgian Ambassador, which discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and the possibility of deepening the relationship," the report says.

Kachkachishvili met with representatives of Nepal, as well as with representatives of the Foreign Ministry and other members of Nepalese government.

Diplomatic relations between Georgia and Nepal were established in 2005.
