Georgian Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili is making his first visit to France as head of the government.
Merabishvili has already met with French Interior Minister Manuel Valls. The parties discussed prospects of developing bilateral relations and concrete plans for cooperation.
"We have agreed to intensify the cooperation and specific activities," he said. "I am glad that I was given the opportunity to discuss very important issues in the relations between our countries with my old colleagues.
He added that Georgia has a lot of friends in France in both parties.
