U.S. Coast Guard delegation headed by the Vice Admiral Peter Neffenger will visit Georgia on October 20-21.
Meetings with the Deputy Head of the Border Police, Colonel Koba Bochorishvili and the Director of the Coast Guard Department, Second Rank Captain Lasha Kharabadze are planned within the visit.
In addition, a presentation of the Coast Guard Department activities is planned to be held.
The members of the U.S. delegation will visit a newly built ship repair workshop, the Head Office of the Coast Guard, Chakvi and Supsa stations of the Coast Guard and get acquainted with the activities of Georgian colleagues.
The visit of American delegation is linked with the Obama Saakashvili plan directed to strengthening of the Georgian Armed Forces. The plan was signed in January this year.
