Employees of the Borjomi Plant № 1 (Samtskhe-Javakheti, South Georgia) announced a strike and paralyzed the company on Tuesday. They demand higher wages and the revision of employment contracts.
World famous mineral water Borjomi is bottled at this plant.
The company IDS Borjomi Georgia, which owns the plant, has already arrived in Borjomi and intends to hold a meeting with the employees, director of the plant Stephen Gabrieladze said.
In recent days, there were several strikes to demand wage increases and better working conditions in Georgia.
