The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze officially took up her responsibilities on Friday. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs she was met by former head of the ministry, Grigol Vashadze.
"All those who come and go in this ministry have once worked together. We have a common homeland and it is still necessary to protect the interests of our country as before. So we collectively reviewed all the issues that need to be settled, reviewed and continued, "Grigol Vashadze told the journalists.
According to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, he was glad that the priorities remain the same.
"They are the European Union, NATO and good relations with our neighbors," Vashadze stated.
