Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov. 1 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia /

It is impossible to restore diplomatic relations with Moscow in terms when Russia opened two embassies in Sukhumi and Tskhinvali and recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said at a press briefing today.

"The restoration of diplomatic relations with Russia is directly connected with Georgia's territorial integrity," he said.

Ivanishvili is sure that the restoration of diplomatic relations between Russia and Georgia will not happen soon.

"Much time will be required," he said. "This will be a difficult process."

Military actions were launched in the Georgian territory, South Ossetia on Aug.8 in 2008. Later the Russian troops occupied the city of Tskhinvali and drove the Georgian military back. Russia recognised the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in late August. In response, Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow and announced the two unrecognised republics as occupied territories.
