Delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia intends to visit Russia in the coming days.
The talks are underway with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin with assistance of the Special Representative of Georgian Prime Minister for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze, Agriculture Minister David Kirvalidze said during the broadcast of "Palitra" radio station on Saturday.
Kirvalidze noted that the letter containing the names of Georgian delegation members has already been sent to Russia. He stressed that the matters of lifting the embargo imposed on Georgia as well as Russia's fulfillment of commitments to WTO may be discussed during the meetings.
"We are waiting for a reply to a letter sent by us," Kirvalidze said.
It is possible that the Georgian delegation will travel to Moscow along with a delegation of the Georgian Patriarchate.
The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia will receive the Russian Orthodox Church award on January 21 in Moscow.
