Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili will leave for Davos to attend the World Economic Forum.
During the visit, Ivanishvili will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Prime Minister's press service told Trend on Tuesday.
Ivanishvili is also scheduled to hold meetings with top officials of certain countries, particularly with the heads of Ukraine, Switzerland, Poland and other states at the World Economic Forum.
Meetings in Davos will primarily focus on economic issues. However, consultation on political issues are not excluded.
It is unknown yet whether Ivanishvili will meet with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev within the forum.
The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland starts on Jan.23 this year and will last for five days. The forum is planned to consider the key issues of development of the global economy, ensuring macroeconomic stability and improving steadiness of the international monetary system, strengthening energy security and other global problems.
