Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has today spoken with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili at a reception organised in honour of the guests of the Davos economic forum, one of the Russian businessmen who attended the event, told RIA Novosti today.
This is the first conversation of heads of governments of the two countries. Diplomatic relations between the countries were broken at Tbilisi's initiative after the conflict in South Ossetia in August 2008.
"The Georgian prime minister approached Medvedev and the two held a brief conversation," a businessman told RIA Novosti.
