Georgian Prime Minister does not see defence minister Irakli Alasania in the opposition.
Bidzina Ivanishvili told media today that he does not think that Alasania will join the opposition today or in the near future.
"Of course, Alasania, like all Georgian citizens and as you know I am a Democrat, has the right to choose his own preference," he said. "If he decides to leave the coalition, it is his right."
However the prime minister believes that Alasania does come up to the standard of president. "But if our team has other opinions, then we will see," he said.
Ivanishvili said that head of the legal committee of the Georgian Parliament Vakhtang Khmaladze is a suitable candidate for president.
