Georgian Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani met with experts of the Venice Commission.
Tsulukiani heard the views of the commission's experts James Hamilton and Charlotte Debroutes about legislative amendments relating to the reform of the judiciary, the Justice Ministry told Trend.
The sides discussed issues that caused concern the Venice Commission's representatives. Tsulukiani updated them with its position on the package of legislative changes and answered their questions.
The meeting also touched upon the Amnesty Act. The Commission's work on establishment of errors of justice and reform of the justice system was discussed in detail.
"The experts welcome the reduction of political content at the Supreme Council of Justice, positively assessing the fact that the judges will keep the majority," Tea Tsulukiani said.
The Venice Commission will present the final conclusion of the legislative amendments in March.
