President Mikheil Saakashvili speaks about danger of large-scale recognition of separatist regions of Georgia.

As Saakashvili declared on Tuesday at a briefing in his presidential palace, it is promoted by a conciliatory position of the government of Georgia.

"Russia has already transferred to Cuba of 30 billion dollars and demands instead the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Russia says to Cubans not to be nervous so far as Georgia itself recognizes itself as an aggressor and therefore there are no diplomatic problems," noted President.

Saakashvili emphasized that on the background of the rhetoric of some ministers of the new government, in particular the state minister on reintegration Paata Zakareishvili, who recognize Georgia responsible for the aggression and gradually start admitting the facts of prosecution of our enemies, no wonder, that Georgia gradually will lose support in the West.

"We should sit down together and resolve these issues jointly because the threat is real and Georgia can lose the support", considers Prezident.

Large scale military actions were launched in South Ossetia in Georgia on August 8, 2008.

Later, Russian troops occupied Tskhinvali and expelled the Georgian military. Russia recognised the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia late in August. Tbilisi ended diplomatic relations with Moscow in response and has declared the two unrecognised republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia occupied territories.
